Sorry about the lack of posts. This whole internet thing is sooo FRUSTERATING!!
Ok, now to makeup.
One of the makeup sites that I love to visit is http://www.makeupgeek.com/
If you haven't been to the site they have weekly challenges.
They'll come up with a theam and everyone creates their own version of the theam.
I love seeing the challenges, Everyone's so creative.
This week I decided that I will Finly not just watch the competions, but participate!
YAY!!
This weeks Challenge was Black and Red Valentines theam.
This is what I created.
I was trying to do somthing diffrent than I saw.
Most people made Pretty looks, I thought I would do something else.

I called it Love sick.
I'm a big fan of Zombies. . So why not.

This is my other one, I havn't submitted it yet
I don't know where I was going with this one.

So Products used were the same on both.
Bloody Mary White Face Setting powder Heavy on the first look
Cooper Red Pigment that I got from a Trade show a LONG time ago
No name Black eye Shadow from a $5 set from Riteaid, Good deal by the way the pigments are pretty good with a primer.
Wet n' wild black eye liner
Wet n' wild Red Lipstick
Wet n' Wild Mascara (I'm out of my good stuff but you know this new one they have is pretty good.)
Wet n' wild Liquid eye liner
Wet n' wild Grease Paint pot.

All is well now, my boyfriend yelled at them again
Hopefully I’ll have everything up soon.

Ok, Ok, You talked me in to it.
Here's a Sneak Peak of my project.
Here is a picture from Betsey Johnson's 2010 Spring line.

I know I Love it too!
ha ha, ok and here is a Picture of ....

My Nails!!
Do you love them??
Now I have to have that dress.

I did them my self, I used;
Esse Polish in Punchy Pink,
Esse Polish in Shift Power,
and Black polish from Hot Topic
I'm also going to put on some Wet n' Wild top coat but my nails are still wet and I was really excited to show them off.
I used a thin kinda stiff paint brush for the black spots.

Ok that's all for now.

Projects

I'm working on a project.
It's going to be really great.
I think I should have it up by Monday.
Ok maybe Tuesday sometimes I procrastinate.
All I can tell you is that Spring Fashion Season is just about here.
Spring is my favorite Fashion season.
Uww maybe I'll turn this in to a collection.
I'm actually working on two projects.
My second one is a lot of fun too.
All I can say is that I'm combining my Love for Art
with my Love for Makeup.

Just wanted to give you a little something to look forward to.
Back to my projects.

My first entry

Hello everyone.
This is my first ever blog entry. I decided that I would do my very first Makeup Tutorial.
A step by step Marilyn Monroe look since she's my beauty idol.
Ok So here we go.
The look.

With this look you're just insinuating your own features.
It's very natural but still glamorous.
So with the face you're just going to really define your natural features.

First you want to do your face.
I always like to apply some kind of base first like moisturizer or a lot of brands have their own base.
Right now I use Rimmel London's Fix and Perfect foundation primer.
It's inexpensive and still get's the job done. You can get it at any drug store, or Ulta.

Next apply your foundation and consealer.
For this look you want your consealer to be a shade lighter than your foundation.
Apply your foundation first.

You really want Glowey skin with this look.
This is where I apply consealer.
That's not really consealer, I just did this in paint to show you where.
Blend in your consealer.
For under your eyes you kind of do it like a triangle.
Down your nose makes it look slender.
Next, blush.
For your blush you want to do it under the cheek bone.
Basically do the fish face and apply your blush in a line down the crease.
After this you can apply a translucent powder.
Now I'm really pale, I use a translucent white powder because sometimes even the translucent have too much color in them for me.
Eyes next
Here's my color pallet. The colors I used for this look I've outlined them in Teal.

This is my Too Faced Diva Pallet.
Too Faced is one of my favorite brands. It can be a bit pricey but it lasts, the Pigments are great and it's worth the investment.
So I used the Gold shadow and I mixed it with a little white shadow
I applied it all over the lid from brow to lash.

It gives your lids a nice natural shade with a little shimmer.

Next I used the light brown, it's actually Eye Brow powder.
I applyed the light brown just in the crease and rounded it down to the lash line.
A good way to find your natural crease is to look up at the mirror and it shows that nice contour line.

It's really light but it gives a good color to build on.
Next I used the dark brown shawdow and just followed the lines I allready made.
Blend them in well.

I also put a little bit of the dark brown on my lower lash line.
Now you only want the brown on your crease and around the corner.
You still want the light gold shimmer color we made.

Next is my favorite step. . . The Liner.
My favorite liquid eyeliner ever is from Hot Topic.
It's $5.99
You don't have to spend a fourtune for beauty.
I've tried a lot, but this one has the best control and glide, I think the square lid gives it the control.

I know it has a skull on it. That's not why I like it.
Really though if you're scared of liquid liner, this one's the best I highly reccomend it.
There's my five seconds of advertisment.
Oh yeah, any Hot Topic store, or HotTopic.com

Ok so first you just paint a line close to your lash line.
I start right about at the start of my lashes to my outer lashes.
For this look I made it two lines thick. So just do one swoosh, and then one just above it overlapping.
Now for the cat swoosh.

There are many ways to achive the classic wing tip or cat eye what ever you want to call it.
For this Marilyn look you want small tips.
Half close your eye, find the outer corner of your crease and very lightly just paint an angled line from that outer corner to the end of your allready painted on straight line.
Now you have your basic outline, you just paint under and over that line until you get a straight angled tappered line like you see above.
I also applied my mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

Here is my finished eye
I also put black liner to my bottom lash line.
I use MAC Graph black Technakohl Liner. It's a twisty pencil.
I also darkend my brows with a mixture of the both brow powders as seen in my color pallet.

All you need to complete this look is Some RED lips and a beauty mark.

Ok My red doesn't look so red and let me apologize about the terrible lighting in my bathroom.
It's another gray and gloomy day out so I have no natural light.

Wow this post is very picture heavy. It's my first though I just wanted to start off with a bang.

I hope you like it.
Try it out.
Let me see your version.

Amber
